OiLS Demo Tonight

Tonight, I’ll be doing a demonstration of how artists see various shapes in their pictures, and how you can visually break images down and put them back together on a piece of paper more efficiently and, with practice, more realistically.

If you want to draw along, take a look through this small packet, and bring some paper, erasers, and pencils (I’m probably going to be stuck with a permanent marker so the camera can see–talk about intimidating!)

Here’s some of the images we’ll be working on tonight:  Columbus on the Warf at Genoa by N.C.Wyeth (died 1945); Nina Replica from the Columbus Foundation; White Peacock, own photo.
